The first step has now properly started!

Before we can design and build the Community Hub many things need to happen. The biggest is repairs to the building so that it is made waterproof and dry. For some years this has been discussed to and fro and plans considered – but a few minutes ago the ECH submitted a faculty* request on behalf of the PCC to repair, replace and improve the guttering, roof and drainage of water on the church building.

Tomorrow a notice will go on the church door and notice board to allow 28 days of public comment on faculty 2025-114905.

Once permission is granted, we then need to seek funding, but the committee is meeting next week to discuss with diocesan representatives how such funding might be obtained.

*a faculty is the mechanism whereby the parish petition the church authorities to obtain permission to do the work
